StateWide Assistive Technology, 
Augmentative and Alternative Communication

The Colorado Department of Education’s school-based SWAAAC teams provide multidisciplinary Assistive Technology services to provide students with disabilities equal access to the curriculum and full participation in their education and classroom. There are over 60 participating school districts and 500 SWAAAC team members across the state of Colorado.



SWAAAC Summer Conference Registration Now Open!

Educators, related service providers, administrators, and stakeholders will learn about the latest innovations and research in the field of assistive technology. Three exciting, full day workshops featuring nationally renowned trainers will explore instructional strategies and assistive technology (AT) interventions to support learning for students with low and high incidence disabilities. In addition to the workshops, participants will enjoy 30 break-out sessions, awards ceremony, professional networking and an opportunity to earn graduate credit through Adams State University.
